Garrett Adams is a native of Norfolk, Nebraska. He graduated from Lutheran High Northeast in 2018 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with minors in Business Administration and Sports Marketing & Media, from the University of South Dakota in 2022.
Garrett continued his education at the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in May 2025. During law school, Garrett founded and served as President of the South Dakota Sports Law Society, organizing events and legal discussions with professionals in the sports law field. He also served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was a member of the University’s Athletic Board of Control. Outside of his legal studies, Garrett volunteered as a Special Olympics basketball coach in Vermillion.
While in law school, Garrett gained valuable experience as a law clerk with Copple, Rockey, Schlecht & Mason, P.C., L.L.O., before joining the firm as an associate attorney.
